The potter
I’m Leah - potter, photographer & artist - currently creating funky & functional (& sculptural!) one-of-a-kind ceramics to help your homes feel a little more home-y.
I have been throwing on the wheel since 2019, with the goal to bring tactile connection back to my art form. I work out of my home studio in CT, turning clay into mugs, bowls, vases, etc.
I believe that drinking our morning coffee from a handmade mug helps slow us down and stay mindful. Especially in the time of a pandemic, it is more important than ever to make our homes a sanctuary. Functional art honors the hour we spent cooking a meal & the ground from which those ingredients came from. Building stronger connections in our life - whether they are to people, food, or the things that fill our space - brings joy within reach. It’s those small changes that make a big impact.
From the earth to my hands to your table - let’s surround ourselves with meaningful vessels for a deliberate life.
Behind the name
Leah Tries Again comes from the idea that we are all made up of a series of attempts. And that is a beautiful thing.
Creation is about repetition. We try, we fail, we succeed, we fail again. It is all part of the process. Each pot available on this page is a unique iteration of the previous, constantly changing & evolving with no clear end goal in sight. Just love for art & the things our hands & minds can create.
